Rules and Regulations
The eGames Code Black Masters is a publically staged event. This means that all competitors are urged to uphold a professional manner and be respectful to those around them. Excessive swearing, racism or abuse while spectating or playing will not be tolerated. Competitors who are deemed to be breaking this rule will be removed from the venue.
The eGames Code Black Masters ruleset will be loosely based on the GGCEVO ruleset. There will however be a few minor tweaks; ultimately all final decisions will be made by the administrative team. If you have a query about any specific rules, feel free to ask.
EXPLOITS
All of the below will result in immediate round reversal:
Illegal Plants
Clipping, of any kind. This includes the railing above the inner bombsite on de_train - view
For further clarification on illegal exploits feel free to ask an eGames Masters official.
MAPS
- de_dust2
- de_inferno
- de_nuke
- de_train
- de_tuscan
Coin tosses will be used to determine sides in all matches - this means no knife rounds under any circumstances.
GROUP STAGES
Points will be allocated as follows:
- 3 points for a win
- 1 point for a tie
- 0 points for a loss
If there are any ties once group play is competed the following methods will be used to determine which teams progress:
- Head to head
- Total rounds won
2-way tie:
- Should a 2-way tie occur, Head-to-Head will determine who places higher.
- If the result of the Head-to-Head match between the 2 tied teams does not give a clear winner (as in their group stage match ended in a 15-15 tie), then round difference (rounds won minus rounds lost) will be the next determining factor.
- In the unlikely event that teams are still tied after Head-to-Head and round difference are taken into account, a re-match will be played on a randomly selected map, with MR3 and $16,000 startmoney.
3-way tie+:
- Should a 3-way tie occur, round difference (rounds won minus rounds lost) will determine who places higher.
- Should teams still be tied after round differences have been calculated, a re-match will be played on randomly selected map(s), with game-settings mr3 and startmoney $16,000.
FINALS BRACKET
A coin toss will be used to determine who drops the first map. The winner of the coin toss can choose to eliminate first or force their opposition to eliminate first.
* Competition admins reserve the right to change details at any time.

I'm keen, should be good...
We (x7) are all looking forward to it; should be an amazing day! Hopefully we'll produce some decent results on LAN -- Hopefully my 28-1 on LAN doesn't crash the #eGames.SB1 :) |
