Taken from the SteelSeries website, here's a brief recap of the major features of the Siberia V2 headset and some comparisons to the V1.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Closed style headphones (previously open style)
- Pull-out microphone (previously a seperate mic)
- Crystal clear high, low and mid-tones
- 50mm driver units (previously 40mm drivers)
- Lightweight suspension construction (added in V2)
- Integrated volume control and mic switch located on the cord (added in V2)
SPECIFICATIONS
Headphones:
- Frequency response: 10 - 28.000 Hz (improved from 18 - 28.000 Hz)
- Impedance: 32 Ohm (previously 40 Ohm)
- SPL@1kHz, 1Vrms: 112 dB (previously 99 - 104 dB)
- Cable length: 1.0m + 2.0m = 3.0m (increased from 2.8m)
- Jack: 3.5 mm (6.3mm adapter included)
Microphone:
- Frequency response: 50 - 16,000 Hz (previously 80 - 16,000 Hz)
- Pick up pattern: Uni-directional
- Sensitivity: -38 dB
As you can see, there's been a considerable amount of low end added to both the headphones and mic. The headphones are assisted by the V2's new 50mm drivers, which in my opinion appropriate the headset for true multipurpose use.
wouldnt mind getting my hands on some of those!
now you have to review the xai and the 7G :P
hahahahahahaha
At $160 I would say the price is moderate.
Also, if you actually walk around the mall or whatever with these on your head for music etc, then you need to stop doing that.
edit: thanks, /g/
Also; I told you Im still awaiting that "Xai Donation Foundation" if you're keen?
Release dates anyone?
Ultimately, you need to get used to using a closed headset for LAN's as you have to accept that the gaming environments in the future are going to be very loud.
looking on the site here
should i get the usb ones?
