GotGames is extremely proud to present GGTV, the first dedicated, hardcore Australian E-Sports TV show based on GGCEVO competitions throughout the year. GotGames will be producing four 22 minute GGTV episodes in 2009, with the first episode being released in April. In conjunction with this, GotGames will be running 2 seasons of gaming that will have over $20k in total prize money. This pilot TV show will be aired online to the entire Australian E-Sports community. We believe that as a result of this show, many new people will join the Australian E-Sports community to get a piece of the action.
Production for the first episode is already well underway. Daniel "Pandos" Posavac will be the leading presenter and on the Saturday 17th of January we will be taking auditions for the second presenter. On Thursday 29th of January we will be taking auditions for a female co-anchor. The show will be filmed in 720P so you can see all the action in high definition. GGTV will be covering 3 games: Counter Strike Source, Call of Duty 5 and Fifa 09.
With this news, GotGames has also released the official schedule for 2009 which sees the year broken down into 2 seasons. Halfway through the first season, we will pause for 2-3 weeks while GGTV is finished and the first episode will be released before the season recommences. When the Season 1 finals finish, Gotgames will spend 2-3 weeks filming so we can release the second GGTV episode before the season recommences. Basically, there will be two episodes of GGTV during each season. The first episode will cover the first two thirds of the season and the second episode will cover the last third of the season and the finals.
GGTV will be focusing on the 8 team Professional competition but will also cover Intermediate, Amateur and Open ladders. GotGames is also bringing back Sunday night E-Sports with all Professional games being held on Sunday nights at either 7:30 or 8:30. GotGames is going to provide full previews and write-ups for every single game this year in the Professional divisions for both CSS, COD 5 and Fifa. Sunday night is now E-Sports night!
Alex "Hybrid" Mottshaw will be directing the show. Tobias "Blazk" Sluggett is the Lead Production Editor of GGTV and Michael "Bench" Debevec is the Lead Graphical Designer. We are currently looking for video staff, graphics staff, commentators and content producers so if you are interested, please send through an application detailing what you can do to applications@gotgames.com.au.
