Sydney Xbox LAN

Guys,

Istar have just about finished and they have told me that they are going to have 20 Xbox 360's setup within a couple of weeks.

GotGames will be running a cod4 and Halo Competition.

Details will be announced shortly, I just wanted to post a thread finding out what sort of demand there will be.

Depending on prizes, and the like im sure tere will be plenty of teams willing, however im interested as to weather the xboxs can all be hooked up to xboxlive as this will allow for custom classes etc.

Only problem i forsee is gamertag transportation / account recovery.

I'm sure the only problem I see is peoples levels!
Not everyone has the luxury of being lvl 55 with all the perks and attachments to their weapons needed.
I know it is good and all to have custome classes made up but only if everyone is on an even playing field.
Imagine a team rocking up... not having played the game before.. and just get dom'd because they don't have a level 55 account and weapon attachments.

needs a racing game tbh. xbox's are only good for racings games and rpgs imo.

Depends on prizes, dates and all the rest but you should be able to get a decent turnout for Halo. There's some upcoming LAN's in QLD and maybe here at SGL for Halo which should give you idea of the sort of numbers you would get.

Ditch CoD4 and focus on Halo. You're guaranteed numbers for a Halo LAN.

=D guaranteed numbers for COD4 if people know about it. 9 teams were pulled into gameon last week with 3 registering with days before the event... even hours! As was said at the LAN, more teams would have came if they had been informed about the event.

Would love to see more lounges for the xbox in Syd as there are only 2 lounges in Sydney with only 1 holding tournaments.
