Playing TF2 for the free weekend and am thinking of purchasing it.
Some random questions...
- Are the rockets from the soldier and the grenade launcher from the demoman meant to have a slight delay when you shoot? I'm playing at 200fps and 40 ping, so I doubt it's a problem with my comp, but it just doesn't feel right.
- Why does it seem like sometimes I shoot the shit out of someone and they don't die, and other times they die very quickly? Is there some sort of critical hit system going on here or just bad rego? So far the only thing that seems to do actual damage is a headshot from a sniper.
- What classes are the most over-powered? MUAHHAHAHAHA!
C2Q Q9550 @ 4GHz | 4GB 1600MHz | GA-EP45T-EXTREME | ATI HD4890 | NZXT Tempest | Beyerdynamic DTX800 |
tbh no class is over powered. just how good you can play with them.
its a balanced game unlike HoN
I have no idea about the hit boxes and rego shit. but sometimes rockets do crit.
i dont think their should be a delay.
But im fair shit and noob at the game so i wouldnt take my word to much but its a quite fun game if you have some mates in the server.
Wanna jam it now?
geddit
Roy Nelson - I brought Dan Hardy in for my wrestling
rofl there shouldnt be a delay with shooting bro
It IS a rocket launcher. Don't expect it to be fully automatic lol. You do get random critical hits with most weapons. It's completely random though, and shits me up the wall when I cop a rogue sparkling rocket.
- There is a delay cause of a delay animation and because they're not automatic weapons there for there needs to be some delay so you cannot shoot out grenades like an M4, chances are you're just not used to the feel yet if you have no latency issues.
- Everyone has this problem with TF2 when they first start, it feels like you're literally drilling someone when really you're just bad at the game, it has a steep skill gap at first in pub, but you will quickly learn to kill people if you keep playing... A perfect example is the scout... I used to literally blow 20 shots on people before they would die or more often kill me first, now because I've gotten used to the feel of the game and the scout I rarely have this problem now.
- none are really overpowered, its all dependent on who is playing them, the easiest class to get kills with when you first start out however is probably the pyro for most people and in some cases the spy, however classes like the scout, demo, sniper and soldier are really effective if you know how to play them well.
great game, if you dont enjoy the game as much, you can do trades and make profits out of sales or from buyers e.g in weapons , hats, keys, paints etc.
the last 3 posts are from three separate years,
just saying.
