Finding the shuffling of the playlist is insufficient and I hear the same song's over and over, and some songs never get heard.
I know computer's are never truly random, but is there someway I can enhance it a bit? I am so fucking sick of State of the Union by Rise Against. I hear it once every 20 songs in a library of over 1400...

winamp's shuffle makes it so you don't hear the same song over and over - its a set list,
so i don't know how you could of heard the same song over and over :P

No one's as fly as these kings, man.
It's definitely picking random songs. whenever I press skip it comes up with a completely different track number.

Turn on playlist repeating.
That way it only repeats them once you've played through them all.
put your whole library in a playlist
then go down the bottom click misc>randomize list
then theres no way of hearing the same song twice, just click randomize list every time you want to restart the playlist.
shuffle in the main window in winamp isn't a true random, if you shutdown winamp improperly (alt + f4 or whatever) and you reopen, its on the last song it remembers, going through all the same songs again.
i don't know a way to fix it. which is why i use foobar now

CTRL+P for Winamp Preferences > General Preferences > Playlist > Shuffle Morph Rate > Slide slider all the way to the right
Gosh....
Shuffle would normally mean shuffle the songs so THEY DO NOT PLAY THE SAME ONES...
Nice work to Winamp for making that difficult...
