Me and N1v need to change the times for the match. We've been told to leave the ladder and rejoin since it's the first match, except we cant leave til we report the results. Problem being we can't find the 'report results' thing anywhere. Been told to go to to the ladder and click on "you are enganged in a challenge" section, but can't find it anywhere.

Help?

How do we get details for the game? our game is 2moz night.

this is something thats been bugging me also.....when we challenged we got a random stage choice as the proposal....so do we log on to the site at about the time of the match and find out there or....in reality do we choose----

the other thing that is slightly unclear is reporting results....lets say you won or lost your first match (duh its the only possible result) how do we go about reporting the win/loss

Look, as I understand it, any and all challenges and results are to be wiped from the record tomorrow. You are not supposed to be doing anything until the season starts, so anything that you do (Challenges made, etc.) are inconsequential until tomorrow.

from what i understood we could challenge already but the matches couldnt be held until sunday at the earliest....my match is set for monday...i thought that would beok <_<

Mic & Niven - I have been advised earlier that we should just let the Ladders operate naturally. This would mean that the ladders remain the way they are. I assume this would make things simpler, and player records will eventually will only change as much as they want to participate. Therefore, I would recommend just waiting it out and playing your set beforehand if you can, and report it when the time is up.

imanoob - You're correct. It's been held back long enough, so by midnight, everything should be fine and dandy.

This isn't really a dispute, but more of a question. On SWF the rules say:

If there is no response to a challenge (accept or decline), we ask that the challenging player submit a PM to a GotGames staff member notifying us of a possibly inactive player on the ladder. We will then attempt to contact the inactive player to see what the problem is.

I've had two matches now, and both have been DQs. Who are the staff members that I am supposed to PM?

Just PM me, but obviously the reason for the forefits was because the season hadn't started yet. If a person racks up multiple DQ's over a month long period, then I'll look into it more.

A: Desert Eagle did not beat me it was a practice match and I beat him 1st round and then used alternate charachters and was mucking aroundthe other 2 rounds (3rd one was so laggy I SD'ed), proper rules were not even used and I was told this would be reset before the season starts. We also only played 3 games yet he recorded he won 3-1 wtf?

B: I did not even know I had another challenge as I never got any E-mail or any sort of notifiaction outside this website (we should not have to check here every day) and if I did see it I was unable to play as im working at the Royal adelaide show from 9am till 10:30 pm (except today).
So ive now lost 2 games without even playing a proper match

Jamage - In regards to your match with Desert Eagle, don't worry about it too much - there is a 4 month window where you can challenge and defend properly, so the ladder will naturally stabilise and become more accurate over time. There was just too much hassle involved in resetting the ladders before the launch date, especailly since the issue is considered minor. In the end, the ladder won't be so much about W/L ratio, but more about the positions you contest/defend. So don't worry too much.

In regards to email notification, that can easily be solved by going to your CP options, and making sure you are able to receive emails about your private messages on GotGames.

I do receive private messages in my e-mail but got no challenge email but got a private message from someone about Brawl FC and while I was on I thought id check the rankings since I realised they had just started then I found out I had forfeted a match without even knowing about it.

No real worries though its just the start and things will get sorted I just want to get some real games going.

Not really a dispute, but I have a confirmed match with Desert Eagle for 10mins time and I haven't heard from him since he confirmed. I've tried contacting him via pm on both here and on the Smashboards.

I'm willing to wait, but doesn't the ladder software require you to put in a score after the scheduled time?

Any help would be appreciated.

If does not appear for the match within the chosen time frame, record the match as your win.

It's the responsibility of participants to check this website every day or two for new challenges.

Hey, Me and Sylvan had a scheduled match last night for 9pm but nintendo servers were down and we couldnt play, because of the 0-0 score sylvan posted and the lack of score i posted we both went down 2 ranks. Can you fix this or is there something in the rules im missing?
