Default cancel dash to U-smash

im wondering how to do it....ive found plenty gamecube controller tutorials but none on wii-mote + nunchaku.... except for having d-pad side being a grab which is not preferable....any ideas?

you're in tough luck then. best try find a GC controller. unless you can configure your wiimote+nunchuck to the buttons it requires but even then i'm not sure it will work.

try setting smash attack to one of the d-pad buttons and grab onto 'b'. you may be able to pull it off like that.

You know even though the game was made for wii the controlls were originally configured to the gamecube controller then set to the other controller options and finally given custom settings. this explains why the controls are most natural with the gamevube control

^ That.

Sakurai thought he should offer wiimote controls, etc for the Wii's casual audience.

if you want wireless then you should get a wavebird. the nunchuck actually feels really small in my hands and get uncomfortable after awhile. the gc has more buttons and are placed in convenient areas. the only control scheme that has more buttons is the classic control, but even that feels awkwards to use. and yes he is an idiot, he put in tripping after all

Come on people play this game for all kinds of reasons and in all kinds of ways. Wii-mote is definately not my thing, but I'm sure he isn't bad at the game. No need for smack talk!

lol thanks kaiser, and i can tell you im not "bad" at the game. In fact im quite good im probably not "pro" as some here might be called, but im not modest enough to not say i am on a 3 streak...2 of which werent forfeits. Turtles rank i dont understand though.... rank 1? yet so arrogant....and also with a loss on his belt...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking a side on this! I just tend to think that some high level gaming banter damages a scene like this in general. It's about getting people interested and making them feel welcome as a part of the community. If it is to expand that is.

Nothing wrong with some friendly competition and banter. Yes I am aware that you could very well have been joking, but then sarcasm and the internet - everyone knows the deal right?

Its a platform fighting game in the end... which is something not really suited for the wii, unless its boxing. Since there are many different attacks, jumps, techniques, it was never going to be really suited to a wii controller, which are made for simple control schemes. Which is why its natural to expect the gamecube controller will always be easier to master, its got more buttons to use for different attacks.

Theres absolutely no evidence anywhere that someone dedicated couldn't master the control scheme with the wii-mote and become just as good as the pros, of course I have no idea if anyone has done this or will do, but theres no point flaming eachother over it when you don't know just as much as I don't.

.. just vs iamnoob ..

One of the few people I know who use wiimote+chukz who has some legit skill.
Will for sure put up a fight .. I too thought that anyone using wiimote+chukz would be horrible ..but if that's all you have .. then of course you get accustomed to it. And he has.
