Tell us what you liked and didnt like please. We are always looking for ways to improve our competitions!
- Too many matches? Not enough matches? - Loved the format (like skilled groups)? Hated the format? - Great venue? Venue too cramped? Too far from home? - Liked plenty of lucky door prizes? Would prefer bigger cash prizes? - Want more teams? Happy with the turnout? What do you want us to do at the next lan?

Although we complained about not getting a break...I had an awsome time and every single match was fairly close even against padz' team from the lower group. I think its a really great idea to have the teams split up like that and the seedings were spot on.

only thing: ummm dont put computers in front of the doorway cause mine was right in front of one of the entrances and i just had the hugest glare for the whole day lol.
i liked how the teams were split up into two groups then everyone got to play in the finals bracket after the seedings were determined. number of matches was good - along with the number of teams. |

Still not a fan of the venue feels to cramped, I always liked the Helensvale community hall better. Looking forward to the next big event!

I'm sold on the format, only suggestion maybe rather then a playoff to go into finals in group B, just have top2 teams go threw automatically. Venue is a tad small but excellent location, 35min drive for me from Gold Coast, McDonalds 30 second walk down road and its a TAVERN!!!! , Helensvale was great but the 15+ age limit I hated. Lucky door prizes were awesome, much better then giving one team all the money, me, Padz and Outkast all ended up with prizes!!.

Yeh, its was an overall great day, thanks once again drP. The games where fairly back to back but very close matchs and we made it through to play a close game against CintX in the knockout round, so i think the groups where spot on and it gives every1 a chance to have a good time.

Good work on the format Drp. I agree with buddha, there was no need for a playoffs for the lower group cos it held everyone up. Overall though, lucky door prize was a good idea, and the split was very good.

Yer I can see what you guys are saying about not having the play off for the Group B guys first. In the end it didnt hold this event up at all.
What we might do next time is limit it to the top2 of Group B as you suggested. It all depends on numbers and I wanted to give every team the opportunity to win the day no matter where they ended up after the group matches. Glad you guys liked the format though - I was feeling confident it would be well received. Gives everyone a more competitive day. We will have open Netcafe events where "amatuer" teams can "learn" from the "pro" teams. Did everyone like the prize pool structure? Winners get their money back plus some. Second got just over half of their money back. And we had plenty of lucky door prizes. Also, no word on our next lan yet. Waiting for information regarding the Gen Con lan to see if we are going to go ahead with that. If we dont we will be organising something else instead - so dont worry.
