A login system to what? Is it a website? Local database? Text file? Ive done this **** in VB.net and MYSQL and its not really easy. Assuming its an application with database, your best bet it to go to a library and borrow a vb.net book and a mysql book. Everything you need in the book without the google searching.

Or if you're talking about a webbased login, then apply the same idea to PHP, as opposed to VB.net

I've probably got an ebook lying around somewhere for a login system...

There are also frameworks that will lay the foundations for you.....

e.g.
restful_authentication in Ruby on Rails

I should continue/finish my PHP tutorials. Lol.

I can show you how to make a fairly simple login system with PHP and MySQL. I usually use md5 encryption, but I'll probably start using something better soon.
