Yay, PS3 Arrived =D

Well, i am biggest PS3 fanboy with no PS3 no more!

Purchased my PS3 along with DBZ:Burst Limit and MSG4 last week and it arrived today around 11:30am =D

I purchased mine from Play-Asia, i did it because my friend did and it was top notch stuff.

Will do business with Play-Asia again =D

Anyway, its picture perfect, i got the Creamic White one, its sexy.

Now all i need to do is buy a long ass Ethernet Cable to run to my PS3.

Yay...

But if i had the money i'd buy a PS3 just for MGS4. Played it for four hours at a friends and it was awesomeness just like the whole series. You can't go past making patterns on peoples heads with a tranquilizer gun.

Ok. I now have a small dilemma.

Atm im playing my PS3 on my Flatscreen TV in my room, its a good size TV to play on, in fact its great. Unfortunately its a CRT and the quality of the text on that TV is bloody shocking, i cant even read it.

I can hook it up to my 42inch Plasma in the lounge... but thats a family tv, so there would be certain time frames where i couldn't play the PS3. Any who... i also want a net connection and my parents aren't keen on me running a long cat6 cable from the study to the lounge, because it looks ugly and i have a dog that will probz cause chaos.

Now i look at plugging the PS3 into my 19inch LCD, LG Flatron L1932P... problem is, i dont know if the monitor would do that.

I dont even know how to connect it to my PS3... can anyone help? Im **** with TV's and Display in general =(

Im king at remote though.

first - the ps3 has built in wireless so if your router is wireless...

ps3 looks absolutely horrible with the default component cables - get a hdmi cable - they are cheap as - 20 bucks max

if you can stand playing on a 19" you will probably need a dvi-hdmi adapter for the visual, then you will need some speakers with an AUX input to plug the red and white component cables into for the audio.

they are actually composite cables, not component by default.

The component and HDMI cables are pretty similar in display on my 50" pioneer 720p screen

lol i did a Wireless scan on the PS3, picked up some neighbours Wireless Bigpond connection, guessed the WP Key to be "password" and it let me continue the setup. Unfortunatley it said couldnt resolve IP or some ****.

Note: Baught my PS3 from Play-Asia, therefore i cant watch movies that i hire from video easy. The console doesnt support PAL.

No matter, there is already a Firmware being released for the PS3 which allows me to watch them anyway =)
