I was a bit curious to how people have their Playstation 3 setup so im making this topic to get some info and maybe it will help me out when i decide to buy myself a Playstation 3.
Well, ill start off... when i buy myself a PS3 i will be hooking it up to my big ass 48inch Panasonic Plasma screen tv with a surround sound system. It will be sweet. I will run the console on full res and max all the visual settings aswell. Now im a bit confused with the online area of the PS3... in order to hook the PS3 up to my net do i need to have a Wireless router and connection? my friend tells me that i can plug a Ethernet cable into it from my router... if so, ima gonna have to buy a long ass Ethernet cable to connect from my study to the lounge room. Post your - Setup: Visual Settings (Res): Connection Method: and anything else i may have missed out... im a bit of a dud when it comes to consoles. Anyway, im off to Nando's. MMmmmm Nandos...

Setup: PS3 hooked up to a 22" Asus monitor (HDCP) via a DVI-HDMI cable. Optical audio out to a Yamaha receiver with DT234 pro headphones.
Visual settings: 1080p Connection method: cat6 cable from router. (PS3 has wireless built in, you only need a wireless modem) |

Yes, big difference going from 576p to 1080p. Heapssss.
You can get an HDMI cable for like under 20 bucks. If you have an MSY near you they sell em cheap, usually any computer store like umart will. http://www.msy.com.au/ |
