Default LAN events
ok i've started to think about where and when i'll travel to a big lan event and have been looking around for some info on the best to go to. i've found some links on the razer site that mention some big aus lans further south from me. these were Valhalla LAN party in SA and ASLAN in SA. SA is a bit far to travel to just spectate and i was more interested in just finally meeting some people from gotgames and hopefully seeing some big name teams play at lan.

maybe some closer to home such as AiNC (if thats ever in sydney??), SGL, FragFest etc sounded a bit better but i wanted some insight from people who have actually attended these events and let me know what they're like. remember i'm interested more in meeting people and seeing big teams play for now because it'll be a big trip

thanks for any help!

edit: melb would be the furthest i'm willing to travel just to spec!

i wouldnt bother going to an event just to spec unless you have another reason to go.

So if you wanted a holiday you could just go to melb the weekend of an event or something like that. Probably try and get someone to like you before going might also help yep

well my main reason would so i can meet some people from GG, getting to spec some big teams would be a bonus though ^__^

Look man, I have mixed opinions about you, you're constructive in some threads but in others you post like you have something above div3 players cos you've groupied trick's teams forever.

i'm not calling lower tier teams bad in any way >_> its just if i'm going to make the trip to indeed spec, then i want to spec top tier teams to see some mad css. would you take a 10 hr trip to watch div3 team on lan?

hmm i said many times above the main reason would be to meet people, the only reason i would travel to spec is if it was underground or sql etc

NRG cup was good. Hopefully its the same weekend as autosalon again coz gna be down there neway. Then stay in the city overnight and go see all the slappas and gaming again the next day

NRG CUP, AINC both these events were good to see teams. But if you went to just go see some pro teams play well basically theirs only 1 in every state (with SU spread over 3) So you'd see one team go through with ease and the mid range teams would have better games spectator wise tbh.
