What I said about the boats people was aimed at what they said on ABC around 7 months ago now, Also you lack to understand the increase in boat people is because there is a lot more people trying to flee there country's. everyone around the world has seen a increase of around 5 - 10%. Note this was on ABC as well but only like 2 months ago.

Regarding boradband, you sir need to do some more research as they have found many ways to increase speeds on wireless but it's not stable and they have only increased the speed at a short distance. Even the owner of cisco said mobile wireless will not be able to do what fibre optics can unless you want a shit load of towers as wireless has huge amounts of congesting and also has heaps of latency issues. Plus the speeds will drop every time a user connects to the tower when that is not the case with a NBN style network.
