Well for those who don't live in QLD, something definitely interesting happened today. Apart from the 1st day of school resuming around for many kids today, it was a Tuesday and hence a busy workday.
So what happens when MOST of the mobiles in QLD aren't able to work due to the loss of coverage? Well me being at school, from my point of view, everyone went into a panic strangely enough and people struggled to comprehend the fact that the network was down. It was annoying but some even thought that something was seriously wrong (possible terrorist attack) and it just shows to you how stupid this Y-generation that I am sadly part of is.
Anyway, how did the other QLDers deal with this network crash? Were you one of the lucky few who's network coverage remained intact or did you too begin crying as one girl in the grade below me?
PS. I can't find the link atm, apparently excavation around the central line caused a main cable to be cut and thus breaking the network and the backup failed. Not too sure on details as of yet.
just saw this on the news
...why would a girl be crying over her mobile not working........
She apparently had to make a very important phone call to her boss from work about not being able to work this Friday because she was going to some party and this was the last day today to this by. She didn't realize that the land line phones were in working order.
idiot got smasht
Well you see I was that scared that I ran into my underground cellar and locked myself in. I have the internet so I was wondering is it safe to come out? Lol na my phone seemed fine all day >_>
