Distressed Neighbour's actor 'smashed up set'

Filming was cancelled on soap drama Neighbours after a distressed actor smashed up the set and cut her wrists on glass, according to reports.

The scene was being filmed in the fictitious Charlie's Bar on the soap's Melbourne set last Friday when the actor started behaving in a "very distressed state", according to the series executive producer Susan Bower.

Ms Bower is quoted in the Herald Sun as saying that police were called to the set and cast and crew were removed.

She said the incident involved one of the show's regular extras.

"She was very distressed and swung her hand and knocked a glass off a table," Ms Bower said.

Filming has since resumed but Channel Ten is refusing to name the actors involved in the incident.

I have never seen anyone so fucked up in my life. I normally don't go into studio, just once a week to give the director their location edit. But the one time i do go in, it all happened.

It was an extra by the way, so no one important. But she started off by whacking a vase off the table. Everyone thought it was a mistake so a few people yelled out 'taxi' etc. But then she walks over to the prop table, with all the ready made drinks and food and shit, and pushes the whole thing over. Then she starts yelling "GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME" and she stormed over to the Kennedy set and proceeded to smash the shit out of everything.

It's hard to imagine how intense it was, but it was like she was possessed or something. Screaming and smashing crap with all of her energy for almost 2 WHOLE HOURS. The buff safety guy and security got slammed with a metal spice rack. The cops eventually had to use a tranq on her. And there was blood all over the place. The whole studio came to a stand still, it was truly surreal!

And yes part of it is on camera and no i can't post it.

you should see at suncorp stadium, most of the low level security staff are no joke - 16-18 year old girls or skinny guys, and a few of the 'managers' are fat with no muscle. Pretty shit when I know as an usher if i get see a fight and try and stop it I get fired, but they would be useless to stop it
