Thanks for all the help and support (including abusing the ****head) love yous all. Currently waiting for batteries to recharge so I can use my camera and take a pic of my cd key to send to steam.

If I do get the account back, what measures can I take to prevent this sort of thing from happening again? (I'm sure others will be interested to know) I didn't give my account details to anyone, except prof just now ~_~ so I must've been keylogged?

this is the most common way that peoples accounts get "taken"...
there is also keyloggers that you need check regularly they only log when you've setfocus to textbox (ie. login username [ this box ] ) ..
so turn on your fearwall and keep your computer upto date!

Then you'd need a secure email pw which isn't the same as the account, some people would still be screwed lol

keep dets to your self and av, sw scan regularly

player... keylogger dosn't record from keyboard lol.. it records from direct mem input, on-screen wouldn't work..

I've always known this, but one of the MMORPGs i play insists on using an onscreen keypad for a 2nd password input. So you put in your username, then password, then click the keypad for 2nd password <_>.
