    What do you use?

Hey, just a little thread about ingame settings, just wanna see what everyone uses and everyones preferences.

(these are my settings, set out like this)

    Resolution : 1280x960
    cl_crosshairscale : 0 (auto-size)
    cl_crosshaircolor : light blue
    Sensitivity : 0.63 800dpi
    Mouse acceleration : none

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Yes ive used ALOT of scales, ranging between 0 and 9999. and stuck with larger sizes. (2000 and less)

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? I stuck with bigger crosshairscale, basically personall prefernce, i don't like dots as xhairs, sure they might be able to get HS's, but u can still hit heads with a bigger one. i also find the recoil easier to control.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) I use 1280x960 because i like the look/feel of the crosshairscales, plus i love the look of the game with it. (and i can keep 85hz with it )

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? I use a lower sens, i find it easier to manouver and aim.

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Yeh but I find them to big

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? I use 1900 which is not to big and not to small.. and its just what im comfy with

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200). Just a preference? and get good fps with a big reso

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? I like 2.1 because its not to fast and not to slow

    Mouse acceleration : none

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? yes when i used to play aim maps lol..

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? stuck with bigger because smaller is harder to see at times and auto size helps you control recoil to an extent i guess

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) i use my resolution and i have nfi why lol.. just like it the best how it is now...

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? it's my play style i like rushing with flick ak headshots and close range action and fast pace endurance long range if u know what im taking about...

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? ive used 1200, than 3000 now using 1700 because you cant use higher than 2000 on lan??? is that true

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Les recoil and easier to see and can still hit HS about the same

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) Ive just always prefered to look at smaller things

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? low so i dont skew my shots too much

cl_crosshairscale : 1200 (which is the Small option i think)
    cl_crosshaircolor : Red
    Sensitivity : 4.0
    Mouse acceleration : Off

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Tried a bunch... found 9999 for a while on low resolution but in the end went back to a default config.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Stuck with 1200, mainly for recoil control and seems easier to aim.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200):
Mainly because I wanted high quality, and fps_max is 100 (100hz too).. the crosshairs also look nice at this reso.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? Higher sens preferred nowadays, too much annoyance in the past with low sens due to not being able to turn fast enough. Thats also because I dont have a large mousepad however. Might go lower sens when I get around to buying a large mat.

Hey, just a little thread about ingame settings, just wanna see what everyone uses and everyones preferences.

(these are my settings, set out like this)

    Resolution : 8x6
    cl_crosshairscale : 650
cl_crosshaircolor : green, yellow,lt blue. depending on map or situation.
    Sensitivity : 1.4 // 2 below middle in windows, 800 dpi.
    Mouse acceleration : none

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Used to use 55555 thought it was leet, because it was a nice tight dot. looks cool but its fkn hard to aim with.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Slightly bigger crosshair, cant stand dots or tiny corners. Just screws me up.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200)
8x6 is the standard for professional gaming :P Thats the resolution that became standard among many professional 1.6 teams as computers started to improve. As well as the fact that my computer cant handle much more, 8x6 is enough.

    Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999?
yes ive used scales of 3000 makes the aim really sharp.. but i do like to spam a little bit so atm im using 999 because it seems to be the perfect width and length of the player models head ive stuck with this for a few weeks now although ive binded 2 keys (bind ";" "cl_crosshairscale 999"; bind "'" "cl_crosshairscale 3000") reasons why? well if im in a long range situation i prefer small if im in a short range situation ill use big.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200)
1024x768; thats the actual size of my monitor but if i had an LCD i would use 1280x1024 just seems logical and looks clean

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity?
I use high sensitivity because i have a crap cordless ms mouse (whenever you move it too much it will lag out to the corner of the screen) heres a quote from funk (1.6er) "all you noobs who use 1 sens i'm just as accurate but do it 5x faster" pretty much the way i think if you can aim like zp0r but with higher sens wouldnt that be better? the swedish like high and they're ranked #1 in the world

1280x1024 (in a WINDOW!!) for those who havent tried in a window, do it. but have it the same reso as your screen. it increased FPS alot for me, and takes milliseconds to alt tab
    cl_crosshairscale _
    1900 (auto-size)
    cl_crosshaircolor _
Red on d2 - yellow on the rest
    Sensitivity _
1.3 (2000 dpi mouse) fairly low razer sens
    Mouse acceleration _
    None

    Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? _
Yes, i find i lose my xhair a tad too often

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? _
I have mine fairly medium size, it's easy to see, but is small enough to help me get the hs's.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) _
I use 1280x1024 because my PC can handle it, and i play in a window.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? _
My sens is fairly low, and i have the side buttons on my mouse bound to 'turn left and turn right' so i dont have to take 4 huge swipes to 180, i just press the button

most people use lower sens because its easier to control, i dont play much so i find it easy to have consistantly good aim with a low sens, with a high sens i had to keep playing heaps, if i was playing as a pro id play with 4-6 sensitivity as i think it would give me an advantage

    large crosshair
    green translucent

    ma settings

    Resolution : 1280x960
cl_crosshairscale : just small in the options
cl_crosshaircolor : wateva i have some bind geoff gave me that changes the color and i just change it if i can see with wateva color im using
    Sensitivity : 1.3 sometimes 1.337
Mouse acceleration : cpl mouse fix

dont **** with crosshairscale its bad.

small in options owns used it in 1.6 now in source

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) because source put mine at 1028x960 by default and i just got used to it

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? low cos its easier to aim, your sens should be average drag on your mousepad and u turn 180, if its not like that then ur ****ed.

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Sometimes to play around, you gotta be at 1200 or less to be cool though

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Bigger, default small is perfect for me.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200):
medium-high, 1280x960 feels comfortable for me

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? Low, for my AK

    Reso - 1024x768
    cl_crosshairscale 1500 (usually 1200, changes every week)
    crosshair colour - green
Sens - 2-8 or 3 // default windows thing. Mousefix ON.

My sens is right for me, so i can turn medium speed, i can flick my mouse and get a 180, and my resolution is just default, aparently it's good for awpers (dunno if it's true)
I Like the look of larger resolutions, but i can't awp well in them.

Also, i have used 9999 crosshairscale, but i like the smaller ones for M4 and ak, but larger ones for deagle.

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? I found the larger scales are good for Ak47 spam, but they pretty much ruin the accuracy of your deagle.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? I like being able to see the X on someones head, with larger scales, the X is everywhere but on their head. So I use small.

Why do you use a big resolution or small resolution?
I use 1650 x 1080 because its widescreen and it means I can alt tab without crashing.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity?
I use high sensitiviy for flick shots with all guns.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200)
I like the look of the game and i get constant 100fps

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? I use a lower sens cause i find it smooth to control rather then a high sens

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Pretty much the same reason as Havoc, eventually just as easy to get headshots. Choice, really.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) : Game looks better in 1440x900 (Biggest res on my screen), i like things looking good

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? When i Started playing Medal Of Honour, default was 5, and i just increased it a bit to my liking, and now that ive used it for a while i find it easy to use as opposed to slow.

Dunno, RTS games got my sensitivity high but I got used to using a lower one over the past few years.

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Started on default, went to 3000, slowly went down. I found out that if you do you scale at the first 3 numbers off your res, that it will be the same size in all resolutions.

    i.e.

    640 = 640x480
    800 = 800x600 etc.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Dont like dots, i would use a small crosshair on 1280x1024 because its always lines but unfortunately i have a p0s pc and cant.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) p0s machine.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? Started on 40 sens 2 years ago, have gone as low as 0.4 and now use 0.8. Lower sens = less room for error and more comfortable for me.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? Lower sensitivity and you are able to be a lot more accurate.

    Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999?
Yes, used to use like 5000 when was stuck on 800x600.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why?
Just got used to a bigger one, easier to see aswell.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) Because 1024x768 looks absolute crap on my lcd (1280x1024 being native res)

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? I use a fairly low sens, just got used to it after experimenting.

    Resolution : 1280x1024(19" LCD)
    cl_crosshairscale : 1200(Auto based on Small Crosshair)
    cl_crosshaircolor : Green(Non-Translucent)
    Sensitivity : 1.32(Ingame), 2 on Razer Master Control @ 1600dpi
    Mouse acceleration : None

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? No the furthest ive gone is 2000 or so and went back to default.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? I like using small crosshairs especially on this resolution with cl_dynamiccrosshair set to 0, the recoil is good and control over shots and over all game play feels better to me, just down to personal preference.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) I use 1280x1024 because it's my LCD's native resolution and the fact that everything is very clear and sharp and it runs at it's max refresh rate.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? I use low sens because I have more control over accurate headshots, and it gives the game a slower feel which I like, and the fact thats ive always used low and just got used too it.

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? yes, used to usee 9999, then 2000, then 2500, eventually i cbfed and just sprayed ..

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? big crosshair feels more natural

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) 640 x 480 because it makes things bigger and doesnt strain teh computer much

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? use to be uber low sens and id need to do a 3 point turn around short A, ist a bit higher now ... its a 2 point turn , often choke at times because mouse runs out of room to move and smacks teh keyboard . . lower sens just feels smoother whereas high sens is nasty .. especially when its cold

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Yes for Aim Maps because my screen is massive...

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Smaller Crosshair for increased aim

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) Smallest resolution I can because it looks better

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? 2.5 is neither high nor low

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? For spraying cause I can't aim.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) Best looking with best proformance, I've always used it so I'll keep it.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? Not alot of desk space, cbf moving hand to much ;p[/QUOTE]

    Logitech Drivers: No

    Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? No

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Larger crosshair for easier recoil control and if you know where the center is you dont need a small crosshair.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200)? Small because its my LCD's Native Res.

Why do you use a low/high sens? I started off on 4 then over the years of gaming slowly lowered it untill I hit 1.1 and one time @ LAN was forced to use 0.9, I then mucked around with my mouse settings and sorted it all out so its now on 1.5, Its just easier to aim.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Bigger is easier to see and easier for spam, which I do alot.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) I use a LCD screen so native resolution ftw.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? I use high sens because I`m old and low sense hurts my wrist after a few hours of play.

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Yer used to use a heaps higher crosshair scale when i was playing on a lower res.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? Stuck to a smalled crosshair scale when playing on lower res and have made it bigger only with new monitor.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) I use a big res because my monitor has an aspect ratio of 16:10 and source only supports res of 1920 x 1200 and 1680 x 1020 in that ratio if i remember correctly.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? just liek it that way

Have you ever used cl_crosshairscale 4000 - 9999? Yes. Started about a month or two ago, before then i didnt even know about crosshairscale and somone asked me what scaled i used, i was just like what?

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Stuck with it. Still unsure if i play better with auto size or 8888, i think maybe a bit better with the 8888.

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200)? Haven't tried the other resolutions, but this one is fine atm.

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? Couldn't control high sensitivity.

Did you stick with a bigger crosshairscale, or stick to a smaller scale? Why? smaller, i actualy control recoil better seeing the bullets

Why do you use a big resolution(640x480) or small resolution(1600x1200) i have a 22inch flat screen crt, i use 1024 because anything higher i cant aim in =/

Why do you use a low/high sensitivity? i use a, what i believe to be a medium sens because its just combfortable.
