    anddddddd yes

all through to the finals today (i know we are all amazing)

servers have had mass packet loss and someone was spreading mass virus's so gg !!! we had mass delays in the games.

sqL`uNhoLeee took out the quake 3 comp which was covered by gamestah

can confirm that mrt did almost rage quit and smashed his keyboard and mouse after almost losing to my slut team much <3

on a good note pretty awesome attendance

pimp.tv came down with bikini girls which flocks of geeks lined up to take photos with

i just tried sleeping on the wood basketball court floor with a tshirt as a rug for 2 hours before about to start a dota comp in 30 minutes.

Ive been up all nite tryin to fix a number of peoples dota problems which took about 3-4 hours sigh but its fixed

the admins are so far doing a pretty sweet job !

thats about all i can fill you guys in with.......!

ohh pretty sweet xbox setup like a mini stage setup someone who uploads photos will be able to show you, all 4 basketball courts are basically full theres about 700 people lanning with about 50-100 people promoting things

So basically SQL - Gaming were the only team to be undefeated for the day, however being a double ELIM Archiac or possibly even Sublime could of gone thru to play SQL in a grand final if there was more time.

Prize money was sorted amongst the teams in what most of the players and admins thought was the fairest option ( i wont mention how just yet)

We would like to organise a exhibition match somehow between the 3 teams again however when and where and if is another story, it may not happen.

It was the only dissapointing thing of the weekend, as im sure everyone wanted to see who the final winner was !

As for the event itself, the saturday showed really great atmosphere with a packed crowd of over 700 people it was fantastic to see adelaide host something like this.

As for the work invovled and the network problems and prizes and things, i guess things could of been worse but overall was good to see everyone down from around Aus !

im going to bed, no sleep in 48 hours

Ill take the blame as event manager, for the actions of admins who didnt know better - for the sydney guys and several admins it was their first reloaded and didnt quite understand things, and rather than chec, just started yanking stuff out. *sigh*

Yes, Archaic's PC's actually were dogshit.

Yes, SQL's PC's weren't too crash hot either (they got randomed by some shit team mostly because of this)

Yes, We did replace Archaic's PC's one by one as other got eliminated they helped out by letting us use theirs
(though I think topguN and Havoc has dogshit ones for sql game, but finally got good ones for sublime game? not sure - had to fix other people's problems throughout the day, barely got to manage my own team)

Yes, we got to 3 teams remaining - SQL (undefeated), Archaic (16-13 v SQL), Sublime (16-0? against SQL). This is where the event got cancelled.

After Wookie did his best to con some more time out of the venue, he got rejected with only like 45-60mins. Clearly the end of this competition could go anywhere from 2 hours to 3.5hrs regardless. My first option to the three teams (that I came up with) was - I pay for everyone to enter and finish the event at a local lan. 3 People had to leave. This means the only way this comp will get played out is online.

Nobody at all was keen for online to decide money/placings. So we split the money $800 each way, and Archaic and Sublime both veto'd $100 to SQL for A) they had most expenses B) were already definately in the Grand Final. Making a split pot SQL: $1000, Archaic: $700, Sublime: $700 - no winner, no loser (apart from everyone who was already out).

I think we were going to run an online exhibition to get out all 3 teams frustrations - but no money would be given NOR would anyone be declared 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Regardless of your opinions of the three teams - we were still at a point where anyone could have won; SQL could have won 2 maps to finish, Archaic would have won 3, Sublime could have won 3.

With all the randomness with millions of things I had to deal with - both Gamestah and CS:S - I think the deal we ended up getting for our players was the best that could be made - and the players were the ones who refused the lan cafe option - not wookie, not nateus, not myself. All teams were very keen to finish the event and prove themselves in multiple different ways, but unfortunately 3 players had to leave (1 from sublime - didn't see the other two voices that yelled it out)

In regards to making Sublime forfeit because they left early; please realise they left late regardless. We left the event (Archaic at least) 6 hours past event end time. Forfeiting someone at that point is just unfair. They were at the event already to play up until the last hour or so when they had to leave for work amongst other things.

The point being, neither the teams, nor specific admins at the end (Wookie, Cloud, Syntax in part) were responsible for the event being canned. Nateus and Myself bartered with the event via Wookie to try and sort what we could, but what we ended up with was A) 100% Better than what was offered to our players initially and B) The best that could be done given the circumstances.

I am yet to hear a complaint about the final decisions being made from any player in the 3 teams - because they were there and knew what could be made of what little we had a 1am. (I even managed to get a lot of them free shit for the inconvenience) The only true rages/trolls are mostly from people who weren't there, or aren't a member of the three teams.

    2. Reloaded has previously run on Valhalla 100mbit gear, my apologies for trying something different and not having it work. Its a hazard of my profession.
    3. I had no fucking choice but to shut down the fucking css competition because it was three fucking hours late - and being told BY VENUE MANAGEMENT that we had to be out by 9 (Reloaded has never run past 9). Even after i got an hours extension I was told it would be at LEAST THREE MORE FUCKING HOURS. SO dont you fucking dare have a go at me for being unreasonable. I did everything in my power to keep it going, not the least included blasting the fucking admins who turned shit off they werent meant to, having a very animated discussion with venue management and trying to stop my power admin from crying cause he was tired and had been at the event since friday morning.
    4. Dont fucking tell me to my my face that we've found a fair solution and then fucking backstab me on the internet, cowards. I STILL paid the money out, AND added additional prizes (as well as had several more fucking stolen shortly after).

TLDR version, sure the network could have run better, and I really do apologise for that. I was sick as hell on the saturday, and was still fucked on the sunday or i might have noticed that the 1.6 comp from the goddamn day before was being run A DAY LATE. That didnt click til later when i was wondering why css ran over time.

Yes, some of the admin team, including a first time reloaded admin, unplugged stuff they shouldnt have, and yes certain teams shold have sat where they were supposed to instead of millions of miles away. However ultimately the competition ended because venue management wanted us out. This was the reason all competitions were bought forward an hour or two on the sunday. We had no spare time available to us. Usually, Reloaded is packed up on the Monday and I have all sunday to do whats needed, St Clair changed that a week ago.

I may wish to edit this when ive had more sleep.

    4. Have power and network guys 'accidentally' shutdown everyone during finals.

I had no part or control over any of the fuck ups but still feel terrible for SQL/Archaic/Sublime. Sorry . It has been the worst two days ever for me so I can't comprehend how dissapointed you guys must feel.

If you'd been there you would have seen the running around anhd bullshit i tried to pull off to get it finished. Uiltimately the venue decided. I had no say at all. Believe you me, unpleasant words have been had today.

You could blame network issues on the saturday, but they were fixed overnight. And as ive said elsewhere, 38 competitions at reloaded. This comp is the only one that didnt complete. 37 other comps had the same network issues. They all finished within reasonable times.

You want perfect events, your dreaming. Something always goes wrong, and the odds of something going wrong increase with the size of the event. Reloaded is as big a BYOC event as anyone has seen in the last 6 or 7 years.

Instead of sitting back and waiting for others to do the work, maybe the source community should run its own lans instead of waiting for Reloaded, or companies like AINC to front the cash to get you to events - and ill note not even AINC held a BYO lan in the end. Its not as easy as you all seem to think it is.

And yes Ive duly noted that it doesnt matter how much prize money is on offer, it isnt enough to get teams from the east here unless they are willing to bring their own stuff. The next Reloaded event will bear this in mind.

Im not saying that things could not have been better, and Ive apologised ad nauseum for the shutdown. Things could have been handled better by the admin team. (i wasnt even aware sublime had been turned off until they told me). We could have run a better event sure. Next Reloaded will take all these things under consideration.

Ill say no more on the subject.

Was a big disapointment the lan.
First of all, for the teams who travelled interstate, even if they didnt have to pay, someone paid!
Secondly, prize money was not as much as what was promised.
Thirdly, it does not look good as a lan for teams coming to adelaide to compete. I wouldnt be suprised if a big team never came again.
And lastly for the ignorant admin, dont know the fuck it was, for saying to topgun and havoc, that it was there fault the comp went longer. That fucking american dad jawed bitch.

Cloudstrike, needs a big thank you for what he did for the event. Things didnt work out as planned.
Players that travelled interstate need to be thanked as well as the people/sponsors that funded there trips.

Sounds a little familiar to the dickhead pulling our power out in the middle of playoffs for third at nats.. and we still haven't played out our game online or got our money.
