I just watched it... It's good. Possibly the best source movie I have seen, though that's just my opinion and I havn't seen every source movie released.

Well worth the download. Makes CSS in Australia look massive.

Great Movie, fantastic editing, and i love the use of different camera angles, some of the TD's are amazing zp0r and topgun, unreal Everyone MUST download this, one of the best CS:S movies i have seen well done GG

I prefer to just do my own thing, i only started fiddling with vegas 6/7 months ago and pretty much taught myself what i know and this is my first full movie...he wouldnt have liked the host_framerate 60 or even 120 but i have limited hdd space.

nuke are you telling me to be a man? you got some nerve kid. Ok im sorry dab im going to be fairly brutal, you have nuke to thank. Here it goes:

Poor intro.
- Any amateur could take footage like that on a phone camera.
- Seedy partical illusion effects.
- Absolutely no effort made it was just a montage of real life footage with no sync, no beat, no hype. Nothing to get the viewer really interested and prepare to see something absolutely phenomenal.

Seeing the country flag with the names in the corner used with a Ruination song inclined be to believe it was relatively influential to your movie. Considering its an AUS national movie i dont see why the flag is necessary in every name or any name at all. I know there were a few kiwis playing but if its not an international movie i dont see the point.

I liked the kill count, however, it was pointless when there was only like 1 or 2 kills. When it was used for every clip it became annoying and cluttered people were sometimes focusing more on that than the actual frags.

That shout caster who was talking about Huk's team down on train vs GT sounded like Kermit the Frog i couldn't stop laughing.

You showed glimpses of effort when syncing a few flashes/fade outs etc but you need to be consistant. You either put all in or nothing at all.

Too much gaps in between some frags.

Annoying blur transitions every 2 or 3 clips cmon there are a million to choose from on vegas make it interesting.

Poor quality render for the size of the movie.

Best bit of the whole movie was the havoc clutch. Only disappointment was that you should of sped it up maybe once or twice in between a couple of the frags.

Showing tks during the frag highlights (not the bloopers) is fairly awful. Showing the player featured who got good frags cake the last shot or get rolled thru a box when you could have easily cut it out is also fairly poor. If you want somebody in the moment, thinking 'wow huge thats enormous' you dont add tks and caked shots.. it literally takes away from the feel and all the emotion built up throughout the movie is wasted.

You don't know how to use velocity envelope.. that is like a sin against gaming movie making, and if you do its hardly noticeable. KEY FRAMES! hardly used, hundreds of effects you can do if you let your creativity control it.

Sorry dab, 4/10.. 4 because Australia has nothing else to better it. Its also a damn good effort for somebody only learning vegas for such a short period of time. All i wanted was to help, not criticise, but apparently im not "man" enough to voice my opinion.

I'd like to see something that camstar has actually done? I see him offer all this "constructive" criticism, and he's built some reputation up among GotGames of being one of the best movie makers for some odd reason but I have yet to see ANYTHING done by you other than that half-assed promotional video you had a whinge about; oh and ironically enough that included a cheap particle illusion effect in the form of that worm tunnel so sit the **** down and take your own advice.

I respect the fact you come on here and try to give your advice to improve it, and I also agree with some of the things you mentioned such as the kill count when it was merely 1-2 kills but overall the movie was fantastic, very well done, well synced (not overdone) and apart from a couple minor things I would have changed it is still definitely a favourite of mine. I don't really appreciate and i'm sure dab doesn't appreciate you coming on here throwing your mouth and saying he put no effort into it.
Come back when you've actually DONE something that *you* think is perfect then I might change my mind about you, but until then maybe deflate that ego a bit and try not to come across to people like you are the best thing since sliced bread.

See this is what i'm talking about, the only reason you are criticizing it so harshly is because you are jealous that you weren't the person asked to do the video for the event.
Dab did a good job, he did exactly what was needed from the movie - a lead up to the grand-final showcasing some of the best frags from the LAN and a massive amount of promotion for GotGames and all of it's sponsors.
He deserved whatever Hybrid paid him, he spent 150 hours on the project and it came out fine, so mate...come on - don't be so worried about it

i thought there was hardly any sync and when there was it was fairly amateur. I dont try to come across like im the best thing since sliced bread i offered to privately give my opinion to dab, but considering nuke was SO KEEN to hear my response i gave it. I have a snippet of the Gamapalooza 1.6 movie that im making. Also got a tiny bit of the f4f @ ggnats source movie im playing with too ill render a snippet of that when i can be bothered.

IMO most 1.6 movies I have seen suck... Terrible sound quality, terrible GFX, terrible physics, terrible animations... pretty much terrible everything for making a video except for the frags. Just IMO though, I guess I would like it more if I played 1.6 more.

But downloading the movie now should be good
