it was illegal but the fact that romjke didn't peak means that it wouldn't of mattered as the rule book doesn't state anything about defusing through a box makes it legal LOL.

While this is true, the counter to this is because he wasn't out in the open he knew he wouldn't be seen if romjke peaked.

That's the same logic as saying it doesn't matter if someone's walling, so long as they don't actually encounter anyone whilst they're doing it.

Additionally, what does the rule book say about defusing through walls/other things (Ie. B site on DD2 or the train railing on de_train) If there's no terrorists left alive are you allowed to defuse through the textures/objects, or does a time element enter the equation?

I'd really like a link to this "rule book". The dude knowingly did (what he thought) to be an illegal so that he wouldn't be picked or even seen on a peek. Should be at least a 3/4 round deduction.

The other thing is, why did he illegal it anyway? He must have known it was illegal and he probably knew it would come back to haunt the team. You can't get to that level and not know the repercussions it might have.

Rule says it's up to the admin's discretion, if they feel that the defuse didn't affect the outcome of the round in any way, then I don't see the problem.

It's like silent running out of spawn, it's technically illegal, but has no affect on the outcome of the round at all.

The CT KNEW that where he was he was safe. If the T had peeked he would still not have seen the CT. Therefore the CT knew he didn't have to do the traditional fake/shoot/defuse. The T was confident of his plant and was therefore justified in believing that no CT would try to ninja the plant with themselves exposed (if they did a legal defuse). Thus he didn't peek.

Play the same round out 10 times and 9 out of the 10 if the CT defused in a legit manner he wouldn't try to ninja it. I'm not saying that all CT's would have tried to take out the T first before defusing, or even for that matter would have faked. But a vast majority would have.

If anyone can actually follow my train of thought then therefore they can see why I do believe that the illegal DID effect the outcome of the round. It was all about mentality and logic of both the T and CT.

Considering it was a 2v1, with one at mid pillars, and another at ct jungle, the 'traditional fake/shoot/defuse' most likely wouldn't have worked anyway.
