And you put nothing but next and boring smooths on the decent parts of the song.

Average minimovie that could of been a COTW, in fact I don't notice the difference.

The text near the beginning looked like it was just thrown in there as a place holder and never ended up getting changed and I swear I have heard that song a few times but otherwise I thought it was good.

I disagree with some of what you say. First of all as you can see all footage is sourcetv demos so the only smooths I used were in the introduction. As for the "epileptic seizure inducing windows movie maker effects", it'd be nice if you could expand on this because I can only presume you are talking about every flashing/glowing/clip-cutting/opacity things in this minimovie.

The thing that seperates this from a COTW is its length.

If you like...

I've seen a few COTWs 1.5-2.5 minutes in length, this barely borders on the 3 min mark. And I'd prefer to watch those again than this.

Some of the effects were ok, most of it was layer opacity and overlapping, nothing special, some of the effects were just generic slapped on, if anything I'll give him some credit for syncing, only later in the movie. I hate the 'ripple' effect. QFT?

Those smooths you did? You could load up STV, use freecam and hold W while recording and get the same result, would barely call it a smooth even.

A lot of the spray TDs could of had something more to them since they were left mostly undone, especially the time running in between frags (spray down 3, wait 5 seconds behind wall, kill last 2). Gets annoying to watch multiple times, it's a 'frag movie' after all.

I've seen a few minimovies that are around the 2 minute or even 1:30 and I intended this to be a minimovie hence why I called it one.

Well there were no full on 5 man spraying clips, and the only 2 clips which are close are the vines teamdown and the last clip at jungle. The vines TD was 2 bursts for the first 3 and a spray but I can see why it would be annoying as I did slow it down quite a bit to match the song and add effects.

The last clip didn't match sync exactly but I figured I wouldn't mess with it as the frags themselves imo didn't need anything done to "enhance" them so to speak.

I don't think switchback is a fast song just because its heavy metal or w/e. The beats and a lot of sync points allowed me a lot of room to slow things down and I had to do this in order to fit the sync. I know the song is overused but I liked it so I used it.

I think you were referring to my lack of colour effects on dust2 bar the green and blue parts and after seeing all these dust2 looks on 100 other movies I tried to do it different by playing with other settings to change its look.

I'm impressed. Those frags were all really good quality, particularly the awping. Some very sharp yet smooth flicks. Most importantly, you played smart and didn't do anything stupid which seems to be 75% of cotws nowadays.

The editing complimented the player well and I've got no complaints in that regard. Well done to both of you.
