If thats the same one i had its made by a third party company and can apparently increase overheating....something to do with the placement. It can also void warranty apparently. Doubt it though. Also if i remember its extremely loud.

edit: i have come to realize i think you may be talking about the other thing! EDIT EDIT: OR AM I DOUBLE WRONG.
