COD4 Grand Final Predictions
As the grand finals approach, "I Sturty I" takes his pick of the 4 quality teams on display in Pro and Intermediate
This is it, the grand finals of the GotGames COD 4 Xbox Competition. With $7000 up for grabs, it all comes down to three maps. Malice are in both the professional and Intermediate grandfinal, and I Sturty I has come up with the following predictions. This should be a cracker!
INTERMEDIATE GRAND FINAL WRITEUP
NMA Have been a team of ups and downs this whole season. At one stage they questioned where they were at, and considered disbanding. Rohizle was involved in an accident, but they seemed to have bounced back very strong when it was crunch time.
[Malice] have been consistent this whole season. Only dropping a few maps, they have been the team to beat. They've knocked over strong teams like Velocity and KK with ease.
This weekend decides it all. Will it be a fairytale finish for the NMA boys, or the end to a very consistent season for the [Malice] Boys and Girl?
LINEUPS
NMA
Rohizle
Hawk
Death
Butler (Ares Assassin)
Kramer
Pure XTC
[Malice]
Double Horns
OneGoodReason (Jordo)
Taunted
JipD
ZM
Ziggy.
NMA have some of the most skilled players in intermediate. Hawk and Kramer have to be in the top 5 for clutch players in intermediate. Not to be out-done in the kills department, they are well supported by Butler, Death and Pure XTC. The team is lead by Rohizle, who is known to grenade himself when he's the last one alive (lol). Rohizle has his player/map rotations down to an art-form, the players for each map he chooses this weekend will no doubt be the right mix. NMA are a strong team, and must not let their emotions affect their gameplay.
[Malice] are Team consistent. No one in this team has a bad game. They thrive on trying to get more kills and know how to step-up when needed. Watch out for rushers like JipD and Taunted to take out players early in the round. Jordo will no doubt be rocking the sniper looking for a few more double snipes. They will be well backed up by the clutch skills of Double Horns, ZM and Ziggy. If Ziggy can pull ridiculous plays he will win many rounds for this team. If [Malice] stick to their gameplan, they won't go down easily at all.
With NMA bouncing back and defeating KK in 2 maps, and Rohizle hitting peak form when it was needed I can see them taking this to [Malice] and making the scores extremely close. [Malice] will look to shutdown NMA early with their block nades and rushers. If they can do this, it will result in a lot of bomb plants and NMA being pinned.
This game will definitely go down to the wire, and it should go to 5 maps. If [Malice] catch fire they will take it 3-2. However, I see NMA too pumped up to lose this now.
NMA to win 3-2.
PROFESSIONAL GRAND FINAL WRITEUP
Tournament Giants Malice have stated since day 1 of this competition that they were the team to beat, and they have proved themselves through-out this whole season. Not to be out done, 1sk have been a very solid team and tackled any challenge that came there way. This weekend decides the fate of both teams, 8 months of work to get here, who will take home the cash? and who will be left wondering, what went wrong?
LINEUPS
Malice
Tweaka
GooseJuice
GhostKirby
ThoughtWar
GhostJJ
GruntRebellion
1sk
Diresim
EggRun
Ceena
TC Azz
Tigerane
Chuie
Malice's lineup is a complete powerhouse. With Grunt and JJ looking to rack up the kills, Kirby to be up there with them and supported well by Thoughtwar, Captain Tweaka and Goosejuice. This team have the deadliest lineup in the entire ladder, they know how to utilise each player and unleash the brute force that is Malice. The strategies they use are effective, and are executed perfectly. Malice won't go down easily, as they are the most hungry team in the competition.
1sk are a team that thrive on teamwork, leadership and clutch plays to get them pumped up. Watch for Tigerane and EggRun to be getting the team pumped up pulling no doubt many 1v3, 1v4 situations off with ease. Suppressed fire hammering the bombsites will come from Chuie, Azz and Ceena, Whilst the team is lead by one of the best captains in the competition, Diresim. He knows how to lead this team, and his unique strategies are truly remarkable.
After knocking over DTP last night in 2 maps and defeating Malice beforehand, 1sk will have the most confidence going into this match. If Diresim can get his team set-up on maps early and get some quick kills, they will assert their dominance. Malice will look to overpower 1sk with brute force and skilled plays all round.
This match should go to the 5 maps. I'm predicting 1sk to take this 3-2.
